Christmas is upon us! As we’re all scrambling in preparation for the holiday festivities, let’s take a moment to remember the reason for the season.
2018 CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive!
November 18th – December 13th, 2018
Help give a happy holiday to families in need! Every year the California Highway Patrol (CHP), KCRA 3, and other large organizations in the Sacramento area come together to rally behind this amazing toy drive.
This year, we want to get enough toys for the 2,400 kids that were displaced by the camp fire in addition to the kids we normally reach during the annual ChiPs for Kids toy drive.
Toys collected are later distributed during Toy Distribution Day (Sacramento Vintage Ford). The venue is set up like a “Santa’s Toy Shop” — only kids are allowed in. Here are some of the most popular kids toys (according to the experts).
Inside, the kids have free reign to pick gifts of their choice and a bike! Kids receiving these gifts are kids that otherwise may wake up on Christmas morning without a gift.
The event is full of lights, colors, and energy. The Salvation Army and Sacramento River Cats come out. The Vintage Ford showroom gets transformed into something out of the North Pole. The entire place is filled with wall-to-wall toys.
You can help by bringing a new, unwrapped toy to any participating school, CHP office, American Furniture Galleries, Vintage Ford, the Salvation Army, or right here at Bell Brothers (10555 Norden Ave. Mather, Ca).
Needless to say we are excited and passionate about this toy drive!
Right now through December 13th, we will be collecting new and unwrapped toys at our Mather location.
You can also drop a new toy off with any Bell Brothers technician, who will be glad to take $10 off your invoice or leave a coupon for a future visit.
Toy Collection Day
There is also a giant Donation Day today at the Cal Expo! Just bring your new unwrapped toy to the main entrance of Cal Expo on Friday, Dec 7th from 6 am to 7pm. There will be helpers guiding you through.
DROPOFF KICKOFF EVENT – Friday, December 7 from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Cal Expo.
We can’t wait to see everyone full of the holiday spirit, including CHP and KCRA 3, along with our friends from Anrak Corp, NAPA Auto Part – Northern California, and the Sacramento River Cats!
Any unused toy donations are delivered to Shriners Hospitals for Children in Sacramento.
Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Bike Build Recap

In addition to a toy of their choice, every kid who participates in CHiPs for Kids Distribution Day is given a bike of their own.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Anrak Bike Build Day on November 17th! It was the most successful year ever.
This year, Bell Brothers employees worked many hours building bikes by hand, along with a huge array of other volunteers. We had an amazing time building over 1,000 bikes! Everyone was full of the holiday spirit.
Breakfast with Santa
Every year, Bell Brothers hosts a breakfast with Santa and buys toys for all their employees’ kids.
Bell Brothers and Santa held their annual children’s Christmas breakfast on Sunday, December 2nd at Pizza Bell on Elk Grove.
The cold weather did not deter Santa! Despite high demand, he stopped by to visit all the good boys and girls of Bell Brothers, and even stayed for pizza.
The children enjoyed telling Santa Claus all about their wish lists, and each received a gift of their choice from Kenny and Jerry.
This tradition is almost 10 years running. Bell Brothers started the first Breakfast with Santa back in 2009 and it has been getting bigger and bigger as the company has grown.
But just like it was 10 years ago, Kenny and Jerry fire up the pizza ovens early in the morning and start making the pizzas for everyone.
It’s become a staple tradition throughout the years for all employees to bring their kids and get to experience some holiday spirit with friends and family.
As we celebrate Christmas and the holiday season, we’re counting you, or readers and customers, among our blessings.
Thank you for your support and have a very Merry Christmas and healthy, positive New Year!
